Maybe someone at the university can find you a translator? Check with International Ed? It's gorgeous!
That's a thought...but the last time I tried that with a Norwegian pattern, the knitting jargon tripped up the nonknitting Norwegian. There's a group of us struggling through such things on both Ravelry and in a Yahoo group. But if I get really stuck, I might try that! Thanks!
